Vince Flynn

Hello world, I wanna talk about books again today. As one of my all-time favorite book series has to end, I feel I should say a proper goodbye. It's like saying goodbye to a lifelong friend if you ask me. I stumbled upon Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp book series more than 10 years ago, and ever since whenever a new one came out I would rush to get it. It’s the type of book you can read more than once, but the first time you read it, you don’t want to put it down until you finish—very gripping, exciting, dangerous, and fun. And for me, as I immersed myself in my books, I enjoyed them immensely.

When Vince Flynn passed away, another writer took over the series for him (Kyle Mills), which worried me as this was his legacy, and I didn’t want it ruined, but he has done it justice. Unlike what Hollywood did when they created a movie of one of the books, I'm so glad they stopped after one. It was all wrong: the actors, actresses, and the screenplay. It made me wish I hadn’t seen the movie at all.

I have tried to read other thrillers but nothing came close to this, most writers try to complicate things for no reason whatsoever just to increase the number of pages, and the books stop having natural flow. I have read books where I would get to the middle and then jump to the end because of this, but never Vince Flynn. I can honestly say that I am going to miss seeing Mitch Rapp.

Let's all raise a glass to Mitch Rapp, Vince, and Kyle for an epic work done right.
