Online Therapy
I decided a month ago to do my therapy sessions online, my thinking was it will be easier as my workload has tripled, and I have no control over my time and this way I would be able to book late-night sessions during the weekend. And boy, oh boy, do I regret that decision.
I have never heard of therapy by subscription, and I blame myself for not reading the fine print, but I was in dire need of someone to talk to and didn’t have time to go through the T&Cs. I paid for 4 sessions which wasn’t a small amount and only used two because we got busier at work, and then suddenly, after a month has passed, I see a second charge on my card, imagine my surprise!!!
I wrote them a message and they came back saying, sorry, we are a subscription-based service whether you used the sessions or not, you still get charged. Don’t get me wrong, the one thing I don’t mind spending money on is health services because I need to take care of myself, but I like to pay for what I’m getting and not just pay.
Long story short, I canceled my subscription and vowed to only go to therapists in my area because, with those, you only pay for the time you use, which is how therapy works.
