The state of entertainment

What is happening with movies and TV shows? Why are almost all the plots about destruction and harming others? Don’t we get enough of that already on the news?

I had a bit of free time and went on a shows/ movies hunt to find something that I might enjoy watching but to my surprise, despite subscriptions to many streaming platforms, all I could find was either violence or too much romance lols. Isn’t it enough that the world is already in turmoil? Or have the creative juices dried up and all they can think of is someone wanting to blow the world up and how to stop them? And exhausting all the angels of this plot?

Can’t we have a variety of plots to exhaust or is this the only thing left to talk about? I mean if you can’t come up with anything interesting, try to use AI lols. I stopped watching everything new or just skipped through where I only watch the beginning where they tell you what it is about and the end. Other than that, I decided to watch only shows/ movies that are based on true stories, documentaries, and things that were created before 2005.

I understand that police drama for example needs to have crimes to solve but they don’t all have to be of a global impact, diversify please for your viewers’ sake. That is all I’m saying.
