Puzzling

I’m an addict, lols if you can get addicted to this stuff. I came across puzzling last year, and let’s just say that in a year's time, I have worked on more than 20 varying in size between 6000 to the smallest, which is 1000 pieces. It’s interesting how much calming effect it has on a person, even though whenever my younger brother crashes my party, he gets very impatient and frustrated trying to get it all done fast lols. On the other hand, I enjoy the challenge and the time it takes me to get one of them done completely before I break it into pieces again.

Also, I always start from the outline. Otherwise, I’m never able to finish it. I’m not sure why that is, but I feel like I have a structure or something to go by. It is, as I have learned with time, something that is not just a game, but it helps you organize your thoughts, how you may ask. When you are lost in a game and working through the pieces, you end up with solutions for things you have been thinking about for a while. Not sure if that is just me or happens to everyone else, but because I stop thinking about something, it helps me find a way through it.

It has also taught me patience (especially the ones with 5000 and 6000 pieces), they take time, and they require a lot of patience to complete. This is something I have lacked for a very long time; as you might know, working in the events industry, everything is now, and get it done quickly :) With time that seems to affect your patience, your psychological health, and your way of life (always on edge), which keeps you high on adrenaline until you come crashing one day. But then you go back to the basics and try to learn patience; oh boy, it ain’t easy, I will say. I won’t say I have mastered it, but I have a year under my belt lols. So if you find yourself in need of a chilling pastime activity that might provide help aside from fun to your development, I would suggest this one (aside from reading, of course, lols). That is all I’m saying.
