Doctors
Yesterday evening I went to see a doctor, Ortho because my left foot was hurting so bad, I couldn’t walk or even sit. Both caused a lot of aches that vibrated in my neck and caused me a headache. I reached there, and the first annoying bit was waiting for 20 minutes after my appointment. That is a thing when going to the doctor, by the way, if you are 5 minutes late you lose your appointment if they keep you waiting, nothing happens. In my head, I thought maybe their punishment for keeping people waiting is the insurance deducts from their bills. How efficient will that make them lols?
After that, I got in to see him, and I got extremely annoyed for wasting my time because he couldn’t figure out what was wrong or how to fix it even though he sent me for X-rays and blood tests. And I don’t have much blood in my body to start with lols, they keep telling me I have anemia and every time I go in they have to fill at least three tubes. So the end of it was, do you want painkillers and creams, and my answer was no if you can figure out the cause I don’t want you to treat the symptoms!!
My point here is, in the past before X-rays and blood tests, and based on their training Doctors were able to figure out what was wrong with patients and treat them, why now with all the technological advances and the medical journals and the ability to view other cases with the click of a button they still can’t figure out anything.
For the past 10 years, I have been going to the doctor because of bad burns in my stomach, etc. No one could find out what was wrong until a friend of mine pointed me to Dr. Elwin Buchel, who I swear to God before doing any tests just examined my abdominal area and diagnosed me in 10 minutes. So there are some gems out there (the older generations) but the new ones, seem like they either don’t know what they are doing or don’t care enough!!!
Oh one funny thing from yesterday’s visit, the X-ray tech lady asked me if I had any Arabic origins other than being Sudanese by any chance because according to her I have Arabian beauty in me :) In my head I kept thinking first, my beauty is an African lady, and Second didn’t they teach you that Sudan is part of the Arabic world hahahahah.
I have completely lost faith in doctors and medicine (not the mental side just the physical) because they have proven to me time after time that they have no clue what they are doing, and that my mother who never studied medicine can give me better treatment. And she is way better looking than them lols, They don’t look anything like Patrick Dempsey or Jessie Williams, or Eric Dane. That is all I’m saying.
