Book Reviews 1

Okay, so I know I’m not a book critic and never claimed to be one, but I have read a few books lately that I want to share my opinion on. One has annoyed the bejesus out of me, and the others I truly enjoyed. So buckle up, and let me tell you about them :)

The first was by Adam Key, called Undoctored, and let me start by saying I have enjoyed his other books. They are not When Breath Becomes Air, a book that has moved many people, including me lols, but they are light reading material. Comes this one where he talks about his life after quitting being a doctor because of a trauma he went through, and let me say, he didn’t just quit being a doctor but became annoyingly dumb when it came to medical issues he faced. I mean, yes, sure, we don’t run to the doctor for every little thing we face; otherwise, medical insurance costs will be excruciating, but the things he wrote about were big. So, I wouldn't say I liked the book and his attitude, and I couldn’t really get to the end.

The second book I want to write about is David Nott’s War Doctor, and I am in awe of him and what he has achieved in his lifetime. The sacrifices, the things he had to fight for and against—he is one of those who puts everyone else's needs before his own. I loved every aspect of the book, and I would recommend it to anyone who has time to read.

The third and last one is Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451. I know it's not a medical book, lol, but it has a moral point that is more relevant nowadays than it ever was. I’m an avid book reader, and I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t read anymore. We learn a lot by reading books of all sorts. They are the easiest way to avoid making mistakes and allowing history to repeat itself. That is why it hit home and resonated with me.

I know everyone has their own opinions, and what I like might be hated by others and vice versa, but I want to still voice my opinion, lols.
