South Korea 3
I decided to change things this year and spend NYE with my sister in South Korea, so the day I was flying back from Saudi, I booked the next trip, and a week later, I was on a plane on my way to see my amazing sister.
The trip itself is so long, but it is worth it on the way in; the way out is another story. After 8 hours on a plane, I had to take a metro for half an hour to get to the train station in Seoul, followed by 4 hours on a bullet train, and then a 30-minute cab ride to her house. She was still at Uni when I reached, so I just slept till she returned. This time around, though, I booked myself some fun tours around the historical areas of the city, which have an amazing history and beautiful building styles. And on my last day here, my Sis’s Prof gave her the day off so she could spend it with me.
It was so damn cold, but we went out and spent the day together; I told her to take me anywhere she liked, so we went to Songdo Beach. We walked around, took the air cruise to the other side, and walked more. I tried their food, lol, and then we went to another area for lunch. This evening, we are going to her Uni to have a small dinner with her friends before she takes me to Busan Station for my train to Seoul as I'm flying out tomorrow.
I haven’t had beef or a home-cooked meal in two weeks, but everything is worth spending some time with her. I’m so damn proud of her as she works her way towards her Ph.D. in a subject that, no matter how many times she explained it to me, I could never understand; all I can tell you is that it has to do with renewable energy. Anyways, South Korea, until next time, I’m going to miss you and my Sis, and if any of you have time, I suggest you visit around the end of October before it gets too cold.
