I got the VID

So, after 4 years of being negative and avoiding the Vid, I finally caught it 10 days ago. And let me tell you, it hit me really hard. I have had three doses of the vaccine, and I guess that is what it didn’t kill me (not literally obviously), but still I believe I hit the jackpot and got all the symptoms. It started all of a sudden on Wednesday week before last, I woke up feeling congested, but I thought to myself, its just a cold. I got ready and went to the office, but by noon I wasn’t able to move it felt like a train driving over me back and forth. I excused myself and left the office, went for a test and surprise surprise, it tells me I’m positive. For the first week, I was congested, had bad headaches, my bones were crushed to the point that my teeth actually hurt, and I had the chills and a fever. Oh and I cant taste anything or smell properly.

For the next seven to 8 days, I ate as little as possible (apparently it affect the appetite) took Panadol and spent the time in bed. Netflix was my only companion aside from calls from my family members and a few calls from work. And aside from the time I spend with my sister and my family, once the symptoms subsided, I did have fun. Watches the full big bang theory, read a book called The Secret of White Stone Gate and I’m half way through the Book War Doctor. I haven’t touched the puzzle though cuz it was difficult to set up, and it is still really hard to walk for more than minutes, it does drain my energy. I go back to work on Monday so that will be interesting as sitting up for long periods is difficult.

I used to joke that I would like to get COVID so I don’t have to go to work lols, and that the quarantine would be fun, spending all that time doing nothing but reading books and watching mind numbing TV shows (don’t get me wrong it was fun) but the pain was actually unbearable.
